A little practice, a growing garden

Repetition is part of learning multiplication, but the experience does not need to feel repetitive. Tafeltuin is a Dutch-language practice app that pairs short exercise rounds with friendly feedback and a garden of collectible animals.

The design gives learners control over the tables they practise and makes the next step clear, whether they are setting up a round, correcting an answer, or discovering a new animal.

Built around the practice loop

  • Choose your challenge. Select multiplication tables, the number of questions, and a time limit.
  • Practise comfortably. Answer with a keyboard or large on-screen keypad, with encouraging correction when an answer is wrong.
  • See progress. Review accuracy, response times, and mistakes; explore session history and per-table progress.
  • Grow your collection. Earn animal rewards through completed rounds, accuracy, consistent practice, and improvement.

Small by design

Tafeltuin uses TypeScript, Vite, and browser APIs rather than requiring accounts or a backend. Progress stays in local browser storage. A service worker caches the production app and its locally hosted font for offline revisits after the first successful load.

The visual refresh shares Code Solutions’ typography and colour palette while keeping Tafeltuin’s garden, animals, and generous touch targets. The screenshots show real gameplay states reached through automated demonstration rounds. They illustrate the software’s behaviour, not a claim of proven educational effectiveness.
